Create a new system

As an Administrator, you can add new systems or delete old systems from your AVEVA Enterprise SCADA domain. Adding a new system is accomplished through the Create OASyS DNA System Wizard.

Note: Creating new systems is a project engineering task and customers will likely not need to access this wizard themselves.

From a Test and Development System, or any other Domain Controller on the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA domain, you can use the Create OASyS DNA System Wizard to add a new system.

To create a new system

1. Right-click on the Systems file in the Network Management Console (NMC) and select New System.

   The Create OASyS DNA System Wizard appears.

2. Select Next to proceed to the next dialog box.

3. Complete all fields on each of the remaining seven dialog boxes, selecting Next on each one to take you though the dialog boxes.

   For information about the fields throughout the wizard, refer to Systems Object Properties.

   If you need to change a field on any dialog box you have completed, select Back to take you to the appropriate dialog box.

4. If the installation completes successfully, you will be presented with the Create OASyS DNA System Wizard - Complete dialog box. Select Finish to close the Create OASyS DNA System Wizard.

   

5. If the installation fails to complete successfully, the Create System Wizard - Error dialog box appears. Select Finish to close the wizard and then restart it in order to correct the affected settings.
