Renaming

Drawings can be renamed when moved from one project to another with the general renaming facilities that are available in Design. Basically the renaming is handled by customizable PML scripts that can be assigned to an element type, a DRWG for instance. For more general information about renaming in Design Reuse please see "xxxxxx". However, there is a special option that can be very useful for drawings: the Subordinate option. In a DRWG database hierarchy the elements very often have a name based on the owner's name for example:

The sheet name is GHL-ER2 and this name is a part of the names of the subordinate elements as well.
With the Subordinate option the rename script the user sets for the DRWG element will automatically be applied on all subordinate element in the database hierarchy (for example, LIBY, SHEE, VIEW, LAYE etc). Without this option the user has to assign a renaming script for each database element type to be renamed.
