Create Catalogue Form

Sections and Categories are administrative elements which let you segregate particular types of cataloge data into logical parts of the hierarchy. Sections which subdivide an overall CATA are obligatory; Categories, which subdivide Sections, are optional.

A CATA can contain a number of Catalogue Sections. These are of two types: Piping Sections (SECT) and Structural Sections (STSEC), for a more detailed explanation of the Catalogue database hierarchy refer to the Catalogues and Specifications Reference Manual.

A Catalogue (CATA element) is the highest level element of the Catalogue Database hierarchy.

Create a catalogue

  1. Select Create from the main menu.

    The Create Catalogue window opens.

  2. Enter the Name to be assigned to the new Catalogue.

  3. Select an appropriate Purpose from the drop-down.

  4. Click OK to create a Catalogue (CATA element) in the database hierarchy.
