Manufacturing Package (MANPKG)

The manufacturing package element contains at least one manufacturing package filter as well as one or more manufacturing package folders. The rules defined in the manufacturing package filters determine in which manufacturing package each of the production parts will be stored.

The input to production functions is used for finding the manufacturing package in which to store each of the production parts. The PML expression defined in each manufacturing package filter is evaluated against the input element from the design database. The manufacturing packages are sequenced in the order they appear in the current MDB and all production parts for a design element will be stored in the first manufacturing package where the rule expression evaluates to true.

If the system fails to find a manufacturing package element to put the production part in, the system error 6701 will be reported.
