ID - Only applicable in Create mode.
Note:
If the supplied ID already exists a number will be appended to it to generate a unique ID. (If the supplied ID ends in a number then this will be incremented.) The ID can be changed at a later stage via the tree.
-
Container - This drop-list contains all container type available. A container type must be selected for use with this bay definition.
-
TBHD - The TBHD drop-list contains a list of all transverse bulkheads within the model. you may select one as the x-location of the aft point of the bay. Alternatively, you may select -None-.
-
X - If -None- is chosen from the TBHD dropdown, then this value is an absolute value. If a TBHD is chosen then this is a relative value to the transverse.
-
Deck - The Deck drop-list contains a list of all decks within the model. you may select one as the z-location of the base point of the bay. Alternatively, you may select -None-.
-
Z - If -None- is chosen from the Deck dropdown, then this value is an absolute value. If a deck is chosen then this is a relative value to the deck.
In addition to the above information, either the number of tiers and rows can be generated automatically, or the number of tiers and rows can be input directly. For each of these creation methods use the Automatic or Manual options.
-
Automatic - If this option is selected, then you should enter the Max. Tiers, the minimum distance to the hull envelope Distance, and the bay Type. When the Apply button is clicked, the tiers and rows are automatically generated to fit the hull.
-
Type - you can specify one of three types:
-
Odd - An odd number of tiers is generated, therefore producing a tier on the centreline.
-
Even - An even number of tiers is generated, initially producing reflected tiers on the port and starboard sides of the vessel.
-
Any - you has no preference. In this case, both methods are used in generating the container arrangement and the method that gives the greatest container volume is used.
-
-
-
Manual - If this option is chosen, then you must supply the number of tiers and the maximum number of rows for the bay definition. In addition the number of containers on a tier can be specified (see Container Position Page).
