Selection of Propeller Characteristics

The Powering Module is able to select suitable propeller characteristics for either single or twin screw ships by using standard propeller series data. You simply has to select the preferred propeller series and fix two of the key variables, namely; propeller diameter, shaft RPM, delivered power and design speed.

The effect on performance associated with the use of varying numbers of blades, noise reduction and the adoption of a controllable pitch propeller can all be assessed.
