Loftbook Sheet Dialog

Open the Loftbook dialog

  1. You can either:

    • Select the menu item FILE \ EXPORT \ LOFTBOOK...

    • Select the icon in the Standard toolbar.

  2. For instructions on how to create a loftbook, see Loftbook (Table of Offsets).

    The generated loftbook can be output in two formats, Report or Text File. The Report type uses the Surface’s general reporting facilities while the Text File option replicates the basic output provided by releases prior to M2.

    The required data of the loftbook is entered via the Crossings page. The Format page gives the available options for the Text File option.

    The instructions used to generate the loftbook can be stored as a macro. The Save... and Load... buttons being used to save the current definition or retrieve an existing definition (macro) respectively.

  3. Click Preview to check the loftbook in a graphics view (standard only) button. Each intersection point being indicated by a cross.

  4. Click Apply to generate the loftbook. Depending on the selected output type, either Report or Text File, the loftbook information is generated in the report view or a Save As dialog appears to save the simple text file. If either the Echo or Show options are selected, the status bar will reflect the curves currently being intersected and the active graphics view displays the intersection points.
