Controls the behavior in sz004 (Create model pictures in batch) when hidden line is ordered. When invoking the hidden line function, there is an options (HIDDEN_MODE = 1 = to keep "hidden" lines in the drawing with a specific layer and line type (dashed). The resulting "hidden" lines may (especially in plane views) overlap each other in a way that these overlapping parts visually appears as solid on the display. This keyword controls if duplicate parts of such "hidden" lines that overlap each other should be removed automatically. Legal values: YES = Yes, post-process the view NO = No, do not post-process |

This keyword will have affect when you are using 3D point mode "Event point" in functions where you are prompted to pick a point in the canvas. You can activate a filter that will reduce the number of available P-points/P-lines. It will apply only to hull models not outfitting models. Currently there is only one filter available: MouldSideOnly. Legal values: All = No filter is active. All P-lines and P-points will be available for picking. MouldSideOnly = Will exclude p-points on the non-mold side of plates and brackets. In addition the system will only consider points on the MLDL P-line of planar stiffeners. |
|
INCLUDE_TRACE_CURVES |
NO |
Controls if shell profile trace curves should be considered by Insert Model and selection tools in Curved Hull. |
|
IGNORE_MARPTYPE_FOR_USERDEF |
NO |
This keyword affects the method used by the system when searching for user defined drawing types in the draft database (when listing drawings in the Open Drawing dialog for instance). By default, the system is listing the drawings according to the attribute automatically set when creating a drawing of a specific type. The attribute is MARPTYPE on the SHEET element holding the marine drawing type. If the user is to list drawings from an external database set up as a user defined drawing type it could happen that no drawings are listed in the Open Drawing dialog. This happens if the MARPTYPE does not match the drawing type set up in the current project for user defined type. As a solution you can ask the system to ignore MARPTYPE when searching for drawings by setting this keyword to YES. Possible values: No = Only accept drawings where MARPTYPE attribute matches the drawing type. Yes = Ignore MARPTYPE attribute when searching for drawings. Please note that this keyword affects the search result in several contexts: Open Drawing dialog Sy013 Data extraction |
|
HSV_IGNORE_OUTFITTING |
NO |
If you set the keyword to YES the system will ignore the handling of Draft and section planes when creating/recreating hull symbolic views. By default the system will add/remove contents of the ID list of the view (for outfitting models) and also add/remove section planes representing the limits and depth of the view. The keyword can be used by customers that have created their own handling of outfitting models in the hull symbolic view and want to avoid interference with the built in solution. |
|
DWG_NAME_UPPERCASE |
NO |
Controls default behavior of the drawing name input field in New and Open Drawing dialog. Yes = automatically convert input characters to uppercase No = allow lowercase characters to be inserted |
|
DWG_NAME_MAX_LEN |
115 |
With this default you can control the maximum number of characters that the user can give in the drawing name. The default value is the maximum value which is 115. The minimum value is 10. This restriction is valid when creating a new drawing with the New Drawing function or when using Vitesse/MARAPI. It does not restrict the name on a SHEET element if you create in command window or via the ADP programs. |
|
TEXT_FONT_SMOOTHING |
System |
Determines whether the font smoothing feature is enabled. This feature uses font antialiasing to make font curves appear smoother by painting pixels at different gray levels. Setting this to Off can improve performance on some systems. System = use the Smooth edges of screen fonts setting defined in Windows. On = Always use antialiasing for true type texts. Off = Don’t use antialiasing for true type texts. |
|
AUTO_CHAIN |
NO |
When creating new contours, these will optionally be chained to existing contours in the drawing. This option is controlled by this keyword. The system will compare the start and ending points of the new contour with the ones of existing contours structurally belonging to the same component as the created one. If any of them coincides with the start/ending points of the new contour this one will be chained to the new contour. Note that at most two contours can be chained to the new geometry, one in the beginning and one in the end. Yes = Autochain enabled No = Autochain disabled The criteria for an existing contour to be chained to the created one is thus: AUTO_CHAIN is set to "Yes" The existing contour belongs to the same component as the created one The existing contour is not closed The start or ending points of the existing contour coincides (zero tolerance) with the start/ending points of the created contour The Automatic Chain concept is implemented in the following functions: Insert/Polyline Insert/Staircase |

The Base Line position (Z-coordinate) is given by the Drafting Default keyword BASE_LINE_POSITION. Legal values: <non-empty string> Use this string as label <empty string> Use RULER_LONGITUDINAL_VERTICAL_PREF as prefix to longitudinal number zero. |
|
BASE_LINE_POSITION |
0.0 |

Legal values: Any real value Finally, In Marine Drafting/User's Guide/Appendices/Drafting Default File Keywords, move the documentation of following already existing keyword in section "Miscellaneous" to a position just before RULER_LONGITUDINAL_HORIZONTAL_PREF: RULER_TCIK_LABEL_DIV RULER_FRAME_PREF |
|
RENDER_AUTO_BLANKING |
YES |
Controls globally whether auto-blanking should be applied during repaint. Legal values: YES = Blanking enabled NO = Blanking disabled |
|
AUTO_OUTFITTING_LEVEL |
NO |
This default keyword is relevant when you select outfitting models via subviews in the drawing. A problem for outfitting models is that the subview level is not very well defined. The subview does not always represent a relevant level for the operation you want to do. Currently AUTO_OUTFITTING_LEVEL will have impact on these functions: Annotate > Dimension > 3D > Weight and COG Tools > Model > Copy Tools > Model > Present Tools > Model > Exchange Tools > Model > Delete Tools > Model > Modify Colour Tools > Model > Modify Linetype Tools > Model > Transform Vitesse function model_identify MarApi function ModelIdentify When setting this keyword to "YES" the function will always select a "pre-defined" model level no matter what the subview represents. The pre-define levels are: EQUI, STRU, PIPE, ROOM, VENT and CWAY. For example: even if the subview represents a pipe branch, WCOG will be calculated for the whole pipe. NO - No auto level for outfitting YES - Auto level for outfitting is activated. |
|
ADD_MODEL_UDPATE_DESIGN |
Auto |
The keyword will have impact when you add models to an existing view. The setting controls whether you will do an "update design" on all models in the view or only redraw the new models. Legal values: Auto = The system will select automatically so that you get best possible performance but still a correct view. For example it means that a full update design will always be done for views of type "Global Hidden Line" or "Universal Hidden Line". No = The system will never do a full update design, only redraw the added models. This may of course result in models not being drawn correctly regarding hidden lines removal but it will instead: Be faster. Avoid regenerating all existing design geometry and override possible changes the user may have done to this geometry. |
|
MODEL_SUBVIEW_PURGE |
None |
Controls how the Purge operation should treat empty model subviews. Legal values: None = Preserve empty model subviews. SDB = Remove empty model subviews in drawing only (the models will come back when the ID-list is re-evaluated). PADD = Remove empty model subviews in drawing and also remove the model from the PADD View definition. |
|
MODEL_VIEW_PURGE |
None |
Controls how the Purge operation should treat empty model views. Legal values: None = Preserve empty model views. SDB = Remove empty model views in drawing only. PADD = Remove empty model views in drawing and also remove the view definition in PADD. |

|
MODEL_COMPONENT_FOR_IMPLIED_MODEL |
Combined |
This keyword will have impact on Update Design for models that may have "implied" model parts like TUBI or BOXI. It affects how these model parts are represented in the picture object: in a level 3 subpicture ("model component") of its own or in the same level 3 subpicture as the part it is connected to. Legal values: Combined = The geometry of the TUBI/BOXI will be in the same level 3 component as the one it is connected to. Separate = The geometry of the TUBI/BOXI will be in a separate level 3 subpicture. Like this it will be possible to identify the part in the drawing and for example navigate to it with the Navigate in Design Explorer function on the context menu. |
|
VIEW3D_PICK_MODE |
Design/Drafting depending on current module |
The 3D view is available on both Hull Design/Draft Design and Marine Drafting/Draft modules. However when you select an element in the 3D canvas the result is different in the design modules compared to the draft/drafting modules. For example, when you pick a flange on a pipe: In Hull Design/Draft design the flange will be selected in the 3D view and the flange will also become the current element in the design explorer. In Marine Drafting/Draft the whole pipe branch is selected and it is also the pipe branch that will become the current element in the design explorer. This is the default behavior. Therefore Design is the default value when Hull Design and Draft design is used and Drafting is the default value when the current module is Marine Drafting or Draft. The purpose of this default is to make possible for the 3D view in draft/drafting to act like the 3D view in design module. Note: The other way around is not possible! Legal values: Design = The picking mode should be "as in Design". This is the only legal when you are in a design module. When you are in draft/drafting you can use this value to activate the "design" way of picking. Drafting = The picking mode should be the default draft/drafting mode. This is not a legal value when you are in a design module. |
|
UPDATE_DESIGN_CLEAR_INVALID_SUBVIEW |
YES |
When Update Design is performed (via command prompt or any Drafting function updating a model view), model subviews without a valid DESI reference will either be deleted or preserved. Legal values: NO = Invalid model subviews will be preserved with user notification. YES - Invalid model subviews will be deleted without user notification. |
|
INSERT_MODEL_INITIAL_VIEW |
ALL |
After system start up, first time Insert/Model is used, the View dropdown menu will be initiated to this value Legal values: NEW = Collected models will be inserted in a new view. ALL = Collected models will be inserted in all views. |
