On clicking the Line button, the User creates a line segment, through one of seven options:

Vertex/Curve Tangent

Between the selected vertex (start point) and a point of tangency on the selected curve (edge), which is the point of tangency between the line and the curve.

Vertex/Curve Perpendicular

Between the selected vertex (start point) and a point on the selected curve (edge), where the point is such that the line and the curve are perpendicular at the point.

Important:
When selecting the curve, the point digitized should be as close to the intended perpendicular point as possible.

Note:
In the case of no perpendicular point lying on the selected curve, then the line segment is simply generated through the end point of the curve.

Curve/Curve Tangent

Between two points of tangency on the selected curves (edges), which are the points of tangency between the line and the curves.

Vertex/Vertex

Between two vertices selected in a graphics view.

Position/Position

Between two digitized (using cursor) points in the current working plane.

Coordinates

Between the two points specified by (U1, V1) and (U2, V2) in the current working plane.

Vertex/Surface Normal

Between the selected vertex (start point) and a point on the selected surface), where the point is such that the line is normal to the surface at the point.
