Warning pivot angle for pipe hangers |
This default is also associated with hangers and determines the angle above which a warning is displayed to the user. If the user attempts to support a section of pipe whose slope is greater than or equal to the MDSPIVWARN angle, an error is displayed but the user is allowed to continue with the design process.
Note: It is essential that the value of MDSPIVWARN is always less than the value of MDSMAXPIVA.
In the example given below, the designer would have received a warning alert, as the slope of the pipe is greater than the MDSPIVWARN angle but less than the MDSMAXPIVA angle.
Note: The MDS manufacturers hanger interfaces (LICAD, PSDesigner and Witch Hanger) will override these default settings.
