Designer's Use of Endcuts

The designer specifies the endcut he wants to use by giving the endcut code, followed by the explicit parameters, if any. for example, in panel generation the endcut illustrated in Endcut Standards in AVEVA Marine, Principles above may be selected by writing

CUT = 1112, 80

This will result in an endcut type 11 with R1=R2=35 and V=80. As a comparison

CUT = 1112

will result in a calculated value of V depending on the connection or, in case of no connection, V=90.

(In many situations it may not be necessary to explicitly define the endcut. for example, in panel generation the endcut code with parameters may be selected by default, depending on the type of connection.
