Launching Dialog

Selecting the Miscellaneous - Launching icon, and then the Edit command in the sub-menu, opens the Launching dialog.

Launching Dialog

This dialog allows you to enter all the required data to perform launching calculations. Note that the Dynamic Data section of the dialog only requires data if the Dynamic Launching check box is selected.

The basic launching parameters that must be entered are:

Note:
The Drag coefficient is the coefficient of friction of the drag chains.

For the drag chains, the travel at which the drag chains start to take effect, Start(m) (units: meters or feet) and their Weight (units: tonnes or tons) are displayed in a list. To add new items, enter the required values in the entry fields and click Add.
