Curves from a Lines datastore may now be imported into Surface using the FILE \ IMPORT \ LINES DATASTORE menu or using the syntax command IMPORT LINES $F.
These curves are imported as B-Spline curves and converted into ACIS entities. These curves may therefore be manipulated using the usual Surface curve manipulation routines.
The following curve types may be imported into Surface:
-
All boundary curves
-
Sections, waterlines, buttocks
-
Knuckle, tangent and pline curves
Having read in a Lines datastore, or alternatively created a number of curves within Surface, and having optionally modified these curves within Surface, a new Lines datastore may be created by using the FILE \ EXPORT \ LINES DATASTORE menu.
The following syntax may be used to export the curves to the Lines datastore
EXPORT LINES $F
