Purpose of the Seakeeping Module

When provided with ship data, environmental data and (optionally) seakeeping criteria, the system computes the following:

• six ship motions

• added resistance

• dynamic loads

• total motions

• seakeeping events

The Seakeeping calculations are based on strip-theory, employing frequency-domain computations for motions, added resistance and loads for regular waves and irregular waves (short-term and long-term).
