Manually editing control points

The most direct way of modifying the surface geometry is by interactively moving control
points. The display of control point nets for all patches can toggled on and off
using DISPLAY \ PATCH \ CONTROL NET or
. Control nets for individual patches can be toggled by clicking the Right Mouse button on a patch and selecting DISPLAY CONTROL POINTS. Alternatively, one or more
patches in the Patch View tree can be selected, the Right Mouse button clicked and TOGGLE CONTROL POINTS DISPLAY selected from the popup menu.
Patch control points are edited in a similar way to editing other point entities. Control points can be dragged in graphics windows by clicking on them with the Left Mouse button, then holding the Left Mouse button whilst moving the mouse. The arrow keys can also be used to nudge control points (see Nudging with Arrow Keys). These operations can be performed on groups of control points selected by holding <Ctrl> whilst clicking the Left Mouse button on additional points, or dragging a rubberband box.
At a boundary between two patches, the corresponding edge control points are bonded together to ensure positional continuity. This means that moving any of these control points (coloured yellow) will affect two patches. Similarly, where a number of patch corners meet, all of the corner control points are bonded together (these are coloured green). Other control points (which affect only the interior shape of patches) are coloured red.
