This dialog allows you to create or edit the definition of any internal surface, be it a transverse, longitudinal or deck. Any newly created elements will be part of the current envelope.
The mode of operation for the dialog is set using the appropriate option, Create or Edit. Depending on the mode, various pages and options will be disabled as appropriate.
When creating or editing, one of the three types of internal Transverse, Longitudinal or Deck must be selected.
A list is used to hold the internal surfaces to be considered during an editing session. The list can only hold internals of the selected type. To populate the list (or add additional items) either, (a) select Get (from the pop-up menu) to interactively pick the required objects via the cursor in any of the views (use the space bar to end the selection process), or (b) drag the items from a tree view and drop them into the list. Remember that only objects of the appropriate type are accepted. To edit or create a different surface type, simply select the appropriate internal type (this will clear all items in the list).
A pop-up menu is available in the list with the following options:
-
Get - used as described above to populate the list.
-
Clear - used to clear the list.
-
TBhd - create a new transverse by interactively specifying the internal’s position using the cursor (and clicking the Left Mouse button) in one of the views.
-
Deck - create a new deck by interactively specifying the internal’s position using the cursor (and clicking the Left Mouse button) in one of the views.
-
LBhd - create a new longitudinal by interactively specifying the internal’s position using the cursor (and clicking the Left Mouse button) in one of the views.
-
Reflect LBhd - create a new longitudinal by reflecting (in the xz plane) either the selected longitudinal element in the list or if one is not selected, interactively pick it via a graphics view.
The definition of more than one internal surface can be edited at a time. When editing, the Apply button and information displayed (on each page), acts on and refers to, respectively, only the currently selected items in this list.
