Linear Dimension

The rules of linear dimensioning are consistent with AVEVA Marine Drafting dimensioning system.

• Direction vector points from projection line to measure point(s).

• Projection line is drawn perpendicularly to the vector. It intersects a line point defined by the trigger script.

• Witness lines (reference lines) are separated from measure points by a small gap.

• If measure text doesn't fit between two arrows meeting witness lines, it will move to the outside of the witness lines along the projection line (see excess dimension on flange view above). The order of measure points is valid in this case. The text is placed after the second witness line (close to the second measure point).
