To access the Advanced View Control window, click
on the 3D View Manipulation Toolbar.

The Advanced View Control window allows the user to make changes to the , and .

Area Limits |

Get Limits From CE |
Sets the area limits to those of the CE. |
|
Get Limits From Hull Block |
From the drop-down list, select the hull block limits to set the area limits. |
|
Get Limits From Clip Box |
Increases the existing clip box to the new area limits. |
|
Wholly within |
Adds elements wholly within the area limits. |
|
Wholly and Partially Within |
Adds elements wholly and partially within the area limits. |
The user has the option to position limits manually by clicking the arrow in the Position pane to activate the Position options.

From Position |
The user is prompted to pick the first position for defining area. |
|
To Position |
The user is prompted to pick the second position for defining area. |
|
Copy From Position |
Copy the From Position to the To Position. |
DrawList
Use the DrawList to define what elements can be added to or removed from within the area limits.

Add Elements |
Adds the elements selected by the checkboxes within an area. |
|
Remove Elements |
Removes the selected element using the selection rules Wholly Within or Wholly and Partially Within. |

Remove All Elements |
Removes all the selected elements from the drawlist regardless of the selection rules Wholly Within or Wholly and Partially Within. |
|
Hull Elements and Outfitting Elements Checkboxes |
Users can choose to add and remove all Hull Elements, all Outfitting Elements or a Selection of Hull and Outfitting elements from the drawlist by checking the required boxes. |

Show Grid |
Click to select the Show Grid checkbox to display the grid ruler in the 3D view.

Utilities
Use Utilities to activate a clipping area, and to define a clipping area.

To activate a clipping area, from Utilities, select Clipping Area Off, the Clipping Area : On is displayed:

The user can modify the clipping area by manipulating the clipping planes. The user can display which clipping planes are being manipulated in the 3D Graphical view by clicking the Show Clipping Planes checkbox.
The Aft, Fwd, Port, Stbd, Down and Up checkboxes control which clipping plane can be manipulated.
If the user checks the Aft, Port and Down checkboxes, these are the planes which can be manipulated.
