Creating a Basic Envelope

Now a barehull has been created a basic envelope can be created. In order to define an envelope either:

  1. Select the required surface element in the Full View tree which is to be the barehull and then select the pop-up menu item SET AS ENVELOPE or,

  2. Select COMPARTMENTATION \ ENVELOPE \ CREATE from the main menu to interactively pick the required surface to be the barehull.

    The Full View tree will now list the newly created envelope with it’s associated barehull under the Envelopes node. This must be set as the current envelope if you now wishes to begin creating internals for this envelope. This is achieved by either:

  3. Select the required envelope in the Compartment View tree and then select the pop-up menu item SET ENVELOPE or,

  4. Select COMPARTMENTATION \ ENVELOPE \ SET ACTIVE ENVELOPE from the main menu to interactively pick the required envelope.

    In the Compartment View tree the envelope’s associated image will change to , indicating it is now the current working envelope. It is now possible to proceed with defining the internal arrangement and compartment construction.
