Character Height

Draft measures character height from the character base line to the top of the character body. See Figure 15:2 below.

The gap between the capitals line and the top of the character body is 20% of the character height, so the letter height = 0.8* character height. The gap for descenders between the base line and the bottom of body is one third of the character height. (These proportions do not apply to the SCRIPT font.)
