This chapter explains how to create any of the following types of ladder:
|
A step ladder |
an inclined ladder with flat treads. A step ladder has handrails on both sides, and top posts where it accesses the upper platform. |
|
A front exit ladder |
a vertical ladder with round treads. A front exit ladder has safety hoops, and top posts and rails where it accesses the upper platform. |
|
A side exit ladder |
a vertical ladder with round treads. A side exit ladder can have single or double exits, and has safety hoops between its access points. |
These configurations are illustrated in the following figure, which shows the origin and direction that the user will use to position and orientate each type. The figure also shows the intended access direction(s) from each type of ladder.
