Patch View Tree

The Patch View tree is the second tree in the Tree Bar. This represents all the patches in the current surface, as well as curves that are cut from it. Tree items representing individual patch object or cut curve objects are referred to as patch nodes and cut curve nodes. Like the Curve View tree, objects are grouped in the tree according to their type (Patches, Sections, Waterlines, Buttocks) under group nodes, and the node at the top of the tree is the root node.

Making a selection in the tree is simply made by clicking on a cut curve or patch node with the Left Mouse button. Extended selections can be achieved using the <Shift> and <Ctrl> keys.

The state of each curve object is indicated by a lightbulb icon:

  • - display off

  • - display on

  • - display active curve on (patch objects only)

  • - display active curve off (patch objects only)

Clicking on the light bulb image next to an object simply toggles the display state.

The Patch View tree can be used to set various patch and cut curve options via popup menus. These are launched by selecting a tree item with the Left Mouse button, then clicking the Right Mouse button.
