Hand Panning

The effect of hand panning is that of using the cursor to grab and drag a point in the scene.
Use Hand panning

First enter hand panning mode by doing ONE of the following:

Single-click the Hand-Pan Toolbar button,

View Tool method only: Double-click one of the pan tools in a view window (doesn't have to be in the view that you wish to zoom),

Select VIEW \ PAN.
The cursor will change to a 'pan' icon,
, to indicate that window panning mode is selected.

In the view that you wish to pan, hold Left Mouse button down and move the mouse. The effect is of the cursor grabbing the scene and moving it, with the view window fixed. Releasing the Left Mouse button exits hand-panning mode.

To exit hand-panning mode without performing a pan move, click <Esc>.
