Saving a design

A design is saved by selecting the Save option from the File menu or clicking the Save button, .

A design can also be saved in its current state for restoring later by clicking the Save State button, , from the application toolbar. This allows for experimentation with a design, providing the facility to return to a previously saved state. When the Save State button is clicked, the State Description dialog is presented. A comment describing the reason for saving the state should be provided

A saved state can be restored using the Initial Design Project Tool (see Restoring States).

A design can be saved with a different name by selecting the Save As option from the File menu. The user is presented with the Save Design dialog.

Enter a new name for the design and click Save.
