The ship scale appended resistance coefficient is calculated by adding the ship scale appendage resistance coefficient, , to the bare hull values obtained from the equation in Propulsion Factors Estimation. The values displayed in the output are the appended resistance coefficient, .

The ship scale appendage resistance coefficient, , is calculated according to Holtrop & Mennen, References 1 and 2 for which you have to specify individual wetted surface areas and appendage resistance factors for each appendage.
