Create Drawing

When the Pipe Spool Drawing window is opened, the application searches for valid pipe spools below the current element and loads them into the grid. To be valid for the production of pipe sketches, each pipe must be validated using the spooling and checks functionality and must be released for Fabrication. Refer to Spooling and Checks for further information.
To create a drawing, it is recommended to select the Pipe Zone in the Design Explorer and click CE on the Pipe Spool Drawing window to populate the grid. Select the pipe spool in the grid and click Create Drawing.
When the drawing has been created, the value in the Drawing.Status column changes to created. The Revision column is updated to reflect the latest drawing revision number.
To refresh the grid, click Refresh, any existing spool drawings will be overwritten.
Note:
The functionality creates drawings in the Draft module and outputs a preview file so drawings can be viewed without changing modules.
The preview drawings are saved to a user definable directory and their status is shown
on the pipe sketch drawing window.
To display the drawing preview in a separate view, select the Preview Drawings checkbox.
To display the previous version of the drawing preview in a separate view, select the Show Previous Version checkbox.
To display dimensions for the selected pipe spool in the 3D graphical view, select the Show Spool Dimension checkbox.
To add orphaned drawings to the spool list, select the Show Orphaned Drawings checkbox.
Note:
Where a spool has been deleted after a drawing has been created, the old drawing is
marked as ‘orphaned’.
Right clicking on a selected spool within the grid displays a pop-up menu:

Removes the selected spool from the Pipe Spool Drawing window. |

Remove All |
Removes all spools from the Pipe Spool Drawing window. |

Select All |
Selects all spools in the Pipe Spool Drawing window. |

Unselect All |
Unselects all the spools in Pipe Spool Drawing window. |

Print Selected Drawings |
Prints the selected pipe spool drawings. |

Print Preview Current Form List |
Previews the current spool list. |

Export From List to Excel |
Saves the current spool list as an excel file. |

Show Filter |
Filters the spool list. |
