Create Stairs

This chapter explains how to create flights of stairs, complete with side rails on one or both sides, between the floor and a platform (a bottom flight) or between two platforms (a top flight). The difference between the two configurations is the shape of the bottom end of the side rails, thus:

Note: The user should create stairs at Structure or Substructure level.
The following parameters are relevant to stairs:

Of these, Angle, Stringer depth, Stringer thickness and Width between stringers are defined within the defaults file.
The user can specify the overall dimensions of a stair in one of three ways:

By Height and Angle (Length being implicit) - refer to Create a Stair with Specified Dimensions

By Height and Length (Angle being implicit) - refer to Create a Stair with Specified Dimensions

For top flights only, by identifying the p-points on finished floor levels (FFL) at the bottom and top of the stair - refer to Create a Stair between Specified Floors.
