Define Room Geometry

The user may be required to define the geometry or basic attributes for a created room.

Geometry for defined Room can be accessed from the Main Layout Tasks window when a BLEVEL element is currently selected.

  1. Clicking Layout on the Room Design toolbar displays the Main Layout Tasks window.

    Refer to Room Designer Layout for further information.

  2. Selecting Geometry for defined Room displays the Geometry Definition for Rooms window.

    List of Rooms with no geometry/details

    Lists the Rooms available for modification.

    Basic Room Attributes

    Lists the Rooms available for modification.

    Floor Height

    Enter a value for the floor height.

    Ceiling Height

    Enter a value for the ceiling height.

    Default height

    Enter a value for the default height.

    Create Options

    Create ceiling

    Select the checkbox to create a Ceiling (CEILIN) element for the selected Room.

    Create ceiling grid

    Select the checkbox to create a Ceiling Grid (CLNPNG) element for the selected Room.

    Create floor covering

    Select the checkbox to create a Floor Covering (FLRCOV) element for the selected Room.

    Room definition methods

    Define points

    Allows the user to derive the Room definition by defining points for the Room.

    Derive from graphics

    Allows the user to derive the Room definition by graphically picking in the 3D view.

    Create Room Geometry

    Applies the changes and sets the room geometry.

    Back to layout tasks

    Displays the Main Layout Tasks window.

    Return to main tasks

    Displays the Room Design Main Data window.
