Create Ceiling Supports

Selecting Create > Support Profile on the Ceiling Support Tasks window displays the Create Supports window.
The Create Supports window allows the user to choose a Support Profile specification, enter a name and height for the Support, and graphically set its position.

Current Ceiling |
Select from the drop-down list a ceiling for which the Support is to be created. |

Select Profile Specification |
Displays the Select Support Profile window which allows the user to select a Steel specification. |

Specification |
Populated on selecting a Steel specification. |
|
Name |
Enter a name for the Support. |
|
Height |
Enter a height for the Support. |
|
Head Position |
|
Pick Head Position |
Allows the user to graphically pick the position of the Support Profile. An aid graphic will be shown in the 3D View to mark the picked position. The X and Y text boxes will be populated with the X and Y coordinates of the returned position. |

Create Profile |
Creates the new GENSEC database element and displays the Modify Supports window. |
|
Accept Changes |
Commits the changes to the database element. |
|
Discard Changes |
Cancels any changes made on the window. |
|
Back to support tasks |
Displays the Ceiling Support Tasks window. |
