New Design Dialog

Selecting FILE \ NEW, or the appropriate icon, opens the New Design dialog, as shown below.

This asks you for the Design Name, a description and which Template, if any, you wish to use.

The Template function allows you to use a previously defined configuration or calculations for the new design. Typically this will have been setup in a previous design.

The program sets up default data (such as range of drafts) for calculations, however you are advised to check the data before running calculations.

Having selected a name, the New button is enabled. Clicking this button presents you with a Use Design dialog via which, the associated Calculation Geometry can be selected. All calculation geometries available within the current project are displayed however, a calculation geometry from a different project (or indeed anywhere on the file system) may be imported into the current project and hence used within this design.
