Generic Data File ( *.gen )

A generic file contains all necessary geometry and attribute information for the postprocessor and is generated by the Hull Nesting systems. The generic file is created in the SB_TAPE directory by the VERIFY command in the Nesting systems.

The Nesting system is used to define the sequence of operations (for example, blasting, marking, GSD positioning symbols, burning, text and symbol labelling, auxiliary functions).

The operations may be defined for single torch or double torches.

The burning contours normally contain start hooks and end hooks and may also contain corner loops and bridges. Auxiliary functions may also be included.

Various kinds of bevel data may be attached to burning contours including CVBA (Continuously Varying Bevel Angles). CVBA may be defined for particular segments of contours.
