Current Sessions Units

When you enter dimensional data in any window, the units applied are taken from default settings. The default units are specified independently for each unit type.

1. To change the default units, select Settings > Units to display the Current Session Units window.

   

2. To change a unit format, select the required database unit value in the left-hand pane.

   Note:
   Depending on which database unit value is chosen, the right-hand pane title and the unit format options within that pane changes.

3. Select a unit format from the right hand pane and click Set Distance Unit.

   Note:
   The Set Distance Unit title changes depending on which database unit value is chosen in the left hand pane.

4. After clicking Set Distance Unit an example of the chosen unit is displayed.

5. Clicking Project Defaults will reset any changes made and revert back to the project default settings.

6. Depending on the permissions set by the project administrator, the User Settings, Save and Restore may be active or disabled. If active, Save allows the user to save any changes made during a session to a file.

7. Clicking Restore during a session changes the unit settings back to the user saved settings. If disabled, the user can still change the unit formats in the current session.

   Note:
   When you end the session the unit format will revert back the project default settings, refer to the Administration User Documentation for further information.
