Concept Description_Hull

AVEVA ERM provides specialised functions for defining hull material, part lists of raw plates and profiles for sections/blocks and DRLs. Hull material parts lists provide precise input for the procurement process and surplus hull material is closely managed.

The Hull Material is defined in two material types: Plates and Profiles. For each project, a list of units must be defined and for these units, the estimated requirement of raw materials, steel profiles and plates that are related to an activity also must be defined to get an estimated need date. AVEVA ERM calculates the requirements for hull steel and this information can be used while ordering Hull Plates and Profiles. Once the purchased materials are received, they can be requested for pick up in production by using the DRL and Picking List function.

The following steps are involved in Hull Material Control. For more information about these steps, see the documentation for AVEVA ERM and AVEVA Marine.

• Define Dimension Codes for Hull Plates and Profiles in AVEVA ERM and AVEVA Marine

• Define Quality Standards for Hull Plates and Profiles in AVEVA ERM and AVEVA Marine

• Define Hull Plates and Profiles Catalogue in AVEVA ERM and AVEVA Marine

• Synchronize Hull Plates and Profiles Catalogue between AVEVA Marine and AVEVA ERM using integration feature

• Define Hull Units in AVEVA ERM or Transfer MANPKG (Hull Manufacturing Element) from AVEVA Marine

• Define Hull Unit Material List in AVEVA ERM

• Make currently available steel material in AVEVA ERM in screen s30000 Hull Unit Material List available in AVEVA Marine. Transfer Hull Unit Material List to AVEVA Marine

  • This will provide a list of raw plates and profiles reserved for a Hull Unit (Block/Section)

  • The list will be available for nesting in AVEVA Marine

• Transfer Hull Nesting Information from AVEVA Marine to AVEVA ERM after nesting is completed

• Import Hull Material Delivery Request List from AVEVA Marine into AVEVA ERM

  • When performing the nesting in AVEVA Marine, the combination of the nesting information and reserved plates/profiles will be written back into AVEVA ERM as a “Hull Material Delivery Request List”

  • When nesting has been performed and only parts of a plate/profile has been used, the “Leftover” or “Rest Plates” should be returned to AVEVA ERM with the new dimensions and stored as a new plate/profile marked as “Leftover”
