Overview

This area of the project set-up is for the input of Deck Edge Points, Profile Points, Unprotected Openings & Protected Openings, Spillout Points, Connected Compartments, Bending Moment and Shear Force Limits, and Windage Areas.

you should note that it is possible to import an existing HCL file, which can contain all of the above data. This is done via the File/Import/HCL File menu pulldown. Doing this will populate the dialog automatically.

Openings, spillout points, etc can be selectively turned on or off, when calculating stability and loading conditions. The way this works is as follows:

1. Set up one or more Opening States on the title page of the Openings dialog.

2. On the Protected or Unprotected Openings Page, for each opening, set whether it is on or off for each Opening State.

3. Select the appropriate Opening State for each Loading Condition, Deterministic and Probabilistic Stability node.
