At this point, an ASL platform must be displayed:

  1. Select Create > Floor Penetration > Shape > Explicit, where shape is Circular or Square, to display a floor penetration creation window like one of the following:

  2. Enter the North/South and East/West coordinates for the center of the penetration. (The Up/Down coordinate is derived from the position of the floorplate through which the penetration is to pass.)

  3. Enter the Diameter for a circular penetration or the Length/Width for a square penetration.

  4. Set the Floor Type option button to show the shape of the platform (Rectangular or Circular) into which the penetration will be inserted. (This information is needed to make sure that the penetration creation calculations are correctly executed.)

  5. Click Apply.

The user is prompted to Identify floorplate.

  6. Using the cursor, pick the floorplate into which the penetration is to be inserted.
