Modify Cable Tray Material Elements

To modify an existing material element first select an existing material element in the Design Explorer.

1. From the Create Straight window, select CE, the Modify Straight window is displayed:

   

   The Modify Straight window will be populated with the attributes of the currently select material element.

   You can now amend the new attributes for the material element or make multiple copies.

   Properties of cable tray material element	Allows access to the cable tray material element properties.
   Properties of cable tray template element	Allows access to the cable tray template element properties.
   Copy with gap	Make a copy of the previous material element in the cable tray sequence. If a gap was specified between the previous element then a gap of the same size will be placed between the copied element(s). To create multiple copies of a material element press the appropriate arrow key from the Number of Copies field. A Confirm window is displayed, prompting: Are you sure you want to copy the existing cable tray material element. Select Yes to copy the existing material element, or No to discard any inputs and close the Confirm window.
   Copy without gap	Make a copy of the previous material element in the cable tray sequence without a gap. To create multiple copies of a material element press the appropriate arrow key from the Number of Copies field. A Confirm window is displayed, prompting: Are you sure you want to copy the existing cable tray material element. Select Yes to copy the existing material element, or No to discard any inputs and close the Confirm window.

   Note: If the total length of the segment exceeds the total length of the copied elements, then you are presented with a Confirm dialog.

   

   Update rules	To update the rules if any change is made to the template has been made, select Update rules.
   Apply Changes	To apply any changes made, select Apply Changes.
   Discard Changes	To discard any changes, select Discard Changes.
   Apply Material	To display the Choose cable window and select a cable from the cable specification displayed. Select Apply Material.
   Remove Material	To remove the cable tray element material from the cableway branch, select Remove Material.
   Back to CableWay Material Tasks	Displays the Modify Material window. See Modify Material.
