Creating a Half Siding Curve

The half siding curve, as well as being used to generate the half siding, is also used to estimate the end surface when radii values are not known. Half siding values need to be estimated and entered via the HS/Radius page of the Curve Endings dialog (see Figure 3:81 in Fitting Waterlines to the Half Siding).
A file containing known halfsiding values at two or more waterline heights can be used to create a halfsiding curve. Alternatively, by selecting the Manual option the halfsiding values can be entered into the dialog. Each value is entered into the grid as a half width value and an associated waterline height. Click Create to obtain a "current" Halfsiding curve. Normal methods are used to fair the curve so that halfsiding values can be interpolated at other waterline heights.
