Ratios Dialog - Loading Conditions Tab

Here, all of the data required to perform the resistance calculations is input. Unlike the loading conditions page of the Powering Calculations, only one loading condition may be supplied.

In addition, you should notice that all of the cells are active. This is because the entire data set is required to perform resistance calculations using all of the available methods. When performing Powering Calculations, a single resistance method is supplied (for each condition) and therefore only those cells required for that particular resistance method are enabled.

Loading conditions previously defined within Hydrostatics may be selected, and these use the hydrostatic properties of the vessel, as calculated by Hydrostatics as input. Different loading conditions may be entered and these allow you to enter any draught, and indeed any hydrostatic properties. However, the facility to automatically calculate the hydrostatics from the vessel has been implemented.

The grid control has been designed so that information can be copied and pasted between loading conditions, or indeed between applications!
