Setting up a new Design

Select FILE \ NEW from the menu bar or the icon to display the New Design dialog. The name and an optional description should be entered. Clicking New will create a new, (empty) design within the current project. If the vessel does not require a hullform provided by another part of AVEVA Marine, for example, a semi-submersible, then you can proceed to construct the vessel from primitives.

If it is required to use offset data or a hullform design from Lines or Form, then select FILE \ USE \ OFFSET DATA... or FILE \ USE \ HULL FORM... as appropriate.

Compartment can be used to create the internal surface arrangement after the envelope surface (hullform) has been defined by Surface.
