Background

AVEVA Marine provides a large number of in-built endcut types. Most customers use only a few of these.

This document describes how a customer may set up default endcuts depending on the type of connection, that means, endcuts that will be selected if not otherwise actively decided by the designer. Only the endcuts defined in this way will be available for interactive picking.

The information is used when creating profiles in Hull Modelling and in Curved Hull Modelling.

A way to inhibit the use of certain endcuts completely is to remove them from the endcut table.
