Assumptions

This guide has been written for engineers who have already used Design’s Structural application to create the principal parts of the steelwork structure, as described in the manual Structural Design using Marine. Therefore, menu options that are common to both applications will be mentioned only briefly in this guide.

Users of the ASL Modeller must have read/write access to the project databases.

It is assumed that:

• The user has a basic knowledge of Design.

• The user is familiar with the basic graphical user interface (GUI) features as described in Getting Started with Marine.
