The Patch and Curve Editor (PACE) can be started in three ways:

  • Select the curves you wish to be initially active (that means, for editing, or to form patch boundaries) from the tree in the Lines Curve Bar, then click the Right Mouse button on the tree and select the PATCH AND CURVE EDITOR item from the popup menu. None of the existing surfaces will be loaded.

  • Click the Patch and Curve Editor Tool button from the edit toolbar. Use the cursor to pick curves in a graphics window by clicking the Left Mouse button. When all the desired curves are selected, click the Right Mouse button to start the editor. None of the existing surfaces will be loaded.

  • Click the Patch and Curve Editor Tool button from the standard toolbar to launch the dialog shown in . If you wish to edit an existing surface, select it from the list and choose Surface. When PACE opens, the curves used to form the surface’s patch boundaries will be active. Alternatively, choose <n> curves from previous selection. When PACE opens, the active curves will be those that were active when PACE was last closed.
