Edit Menu - Manoeuvring Calculations Related Options

Basic manoeuvring calculations can now be performed within Hydrostatics, the functionality having been incorporated from the old Hydro module.

You can define a Loading Condition, which may have been formerly set up in Hydrostatics, or may be defined by specifying the draughts at the aft and forward perpendiculars.

The following calculations are performed

• Crash Stop

• Turning Circle

• Zig-zag manoeuvre

• Reverse Spiral

Two different algorithms are available, both based on regression analysis of data sets for Merchant and Naval vessels. If you choose the Merchant vessel option, then the calculations may also be performed in deep or shallow waters.
