Smoothing Page

The Smoothing function panel is used to select the Smoothing function, which affects the way that patch shapes are derived from the underlying B-Spline curves. If (None) is selected, no automatic smoothing takes place. However, Use data points on the Data Points page must be selected.

The Smoothing functions are controlled by parameters A, B, C and D. A, B and C used in conjunction with the Smoothing functions Energy #1 and Energy #2. While D is used in conjunction with the Smoothing function Sculpted #1 (see Smoothing Page). If Automatic smoothing function parameters is enabled then values for these parameters are determined by PACE. Disabling this option allows the user to enter values directly.
