Paint area planning is the activity where early estimates are made, refined and then checked against the actual painting work. The table below shows an example of a possible work flow:

Model the painting area arrangement starting from the compartment arrangement.

Define additional limits for the painting area spaces.

Refer to the Common Reference Model

Add general limits to the Common Reference Model.

Visualize the arrangement (separately or together with other model parts).

Check in 3D Canvas.

Check in Symbolic Views

Modify painting area arrangement.

Add or remove limits.

Add or change elements in the Common Reference Model.

Add face code information (from Catalogue) on the spaces within the arrangement.

Visualize in Symbolic Views.

Register estimated painting areas on spaces in the arrangement.

Calculate painting areas per space in arrangement

Compare with estimated values.

Follow-up work per painting area space.
