Creating a Deck

Select the icon to display the Deck Generation dialog and select the Deck page.

Create a deck

  1. Select the required Camber and Sheer curves from the dropdown lists.

  2. Each deck must have a unique name, which is entered into the Name edit box.

  3. Decks can be generated over selected sections by selecting the All / Range toggle.

If a gunwhale has been defined, then extra points will be added to ensure the correct radius.

The deck is generated by creating a deck frame at every selected section and if Accept is toggled, a knuckle line is constructed along the deck edge. If a Gunwhale is used, upper and lower tangent lines defining the extent of the gunwhale radius are also created. Knuckle lines defining the extent of the fade in and fade out regions are also constructed if necessary.

Individual deck frames can later be switched on/off or deleted via the Select Curves dialog.
