Automatic Bay Definitions

The above methods created a bay definition with a known container arrangement. If you require the system to produce an optimum container arrangement, then this can be achieved by using the /AUTO option:

BAY "newbay" CREATE CONTAINER "20'_ISO_TYPE_2" 100.0 2.0 /AUTO TYPE ODD MAX_TIERS 10 MIN_DISTANCE 0.1

This will create a bay called newbay, at x=100, z = 2.0, based on container 20'_ISO_TYPE_2. It will automatically generate up to 10 tiers, each containing an odd number of containers. The containers will be a minimum distance of 0.1 units from the shell.

The TBHD and DECK qualifiers can be used in exactly the same way as when generating a simple bay definition.

The above method can be accomplished by using the Bay Definition Editor:
