Import

Import of design data is restricted to the type of data applicable for the current application. Thereby, it might be necessary to perform a module switch to import a transfer set of mixed design data.

To be able to copy the data into a different project, the target project must be made current.

A Transfer Set is selected, and the user can decide to import all elements of the Transfer Set or to make a sub-selection. The import operation handles the elements one by one in a certain order. A design element is modelled into the new project, taking into account references, associations and topology. A drawing is recreated in the new project, maintaining and updating the references to the design elements.
