The aim of this chapter is to explain the file structure used in the AVEVA Marine Initial Design suite. Initial Design Compartment stores all its information for the definition of the internal arrangement in a Surface design (the DM datastore). Various optional designs or data files can be used for the basis of the initial hullform definition.
