All check functions are operated via a window with a common layout, see the example below.

"Environment variable" contains (for the majority of functions) the name of the environment variable that should contain the name of the current definition file. This name is presented in the "Value" field.
You may view/edit the file pointed to by the environment variable by pressing the "Edit" button. "Edit" will open Notepad and try to load the file with the name in the box. You must close Notepad in order to continue the interaction with the program. Notepad's File menu must be used in case changes to the input file are made during the Notepad view/edit session.
When you press the "Check" button, this function will check the file. In all cases the result from "Check" will be a dialog informing you about success or possible errors.
